The repair work that makes a paint job worth doing, handled by the same experienced crew that paints it.
You’ve decided it’s finally time to repaint, and then you spot it…
A soft section of trim under the front window. A piece of fascia that’s started to sag. Drywall that’s gone spongy. Suddenly the project you wanted to feel good about feels complicated again, and you’re wondering whether to call a carpenter, a painter, or try to coordinate both.
That’s the headache we set up our carpentry services to fix.
CC’s Painting has been preparing and painting Lake Country homes since 2001, and there’s a simple truth to good professional painting: a beautiful finish starts with sound surface underneath. So we do the repairs ourselves, then we paint or stain over them, all under one roof. One crew, one schedule, one phone number, and a home that looks the way you’ve been picturing it.
What makes our work different is the eye we bring to it, because we know what’s about to be painted or stained over the top. We pick lumber that matches the existing profile, we set fasteners so they don’t telegraph through the finish, and we caulk and prime our repairs so the topcoat lays down beautifully. The fix disappears. The siding looks like it’s always been there. The trim line is perfect.
It’s the kind of work you don’t notice when it’s done well, which is exactly the point.

No juggling a carpenter and a painter on two different schedules and hoping they work well together. We handle both phases under one roof, on one timeline, with one point of contact. The project is simple, and you get your weekends back.
Two decades on Lake Country homes means we've seen how Wisconsin weather works on a house, in and out. We'll catch the small things a generalist would walk past, and tell you what needs doing now versus what can wait. Real peace of mind that your money is going where it matters.
Sometimes a section of drywall or trim is gone and replacement is the right call. More often, a targeted repair buys you another decade for a fraction of the cost. We'll tell you which camp your project falls into, even when the smaller answer means less work for us, because we'd rather have you as a customer for life than for one job.
When everything is handled by the same crew, there's nobody to point fingers at if something needs a touch-up later. You called us, we did it all, we stand behind it. That's the way it should be, and it's the way we've worked since 2001.
Book online in a couple of clicks or give us a call, and we come to you. Getting your exterior painting project moving should be the simplest part of the whole thing, and we keep it that way.
Window trim, door casings, corner boards, frieze boards, the details that frame your whole exterior. They’re also the first to give out, because the’re where water lingers. We replace rotted or split trim with matching profiles, blend the new piece into the surrounding wood, and prep it for paint. From the street, you won’t be able to tell where the old ended and the new began.
Inside the home, the same carpenters can patch damaged baseboards, casings, and chair rail before an interior repaint, so the trim work and the paint work are coordinated start to finish.
A few bad boards shouldn’t mean replacing the whole side of your house. We repair and replace damaged wood, cedar, and engineered siding section by section, matching the existing pattern and prepping each piece so it takes paint or stain evenly. It’s the affordable middle ground between living with the damage and committing to a full residing project, and for most homes it’s all that’s really needed.
Wood rot is sneaky. It starts somewhere small, behind a downspout, under a piece of failed caulk, and quietly spreads while you go about your life. By the time it’s visible, it’s usually had a head start. We’re used to finding it during estimates and repair walks, and we know how to deal with it: cut out what’s gone, replace it with sound material, treat the surrounding wood, and seal the area against the next rainstorm.
Catching rot during a paint project is one of the best things that can happen to a home. It means you fix it once, you fix it now, and you move on.
The horizontal boards along your roofline take a beating. Ice dams, gutter overflow, woodpeckers, time. When fascia softens or soffits sag, water starts finding its way into places it shouldn’t, and the damage rarely stays put. We replace failing sections, repair the underlying framing where needed, and finish the surface so it reads as part of the house again rather than a patch job.
The hairline crack in the corner that’s been bugging you. The hole where a doorknob met the wall. The water stain on the ceiling from a leak you’ve already fixed. They’re small things, but they hold up a fresh coat of paint, and they’re exactly the kind of work we’d rather handle ourselves than leave for someone else to half-finish.
We patch holes from quarter-sized to “the kid finally admitted it,” repair cracks from settlement and stress, and match the existing texture so the repair disappears once it’s painted. Knockdown, orange peel, smooth, skip trowel: we read what’s on your wall and reproduce it. Older Lake Country home with plaster? We blend modern drywall into plaster cleanly, which trips up a lot of crews and is exactly the kind of work we’ve been doing for years on the area’s older houses.
Book online or call (262) 527-1822. We come to you and assess the project in person, plus provide our ideas and suggestions.
We'll provide a free quote, and when you're ready, we get your repairs on the schedule in a timely manner.
Good preparation and clean execution by an experienced crew mean you can relax and feel good about your choice to outsource the tough part.
CC’s Painting has worked one tight, familiar region since 2001: Lake Country and the surrounding Waukesha County corner of the greater Milwaukee metro. We’re based in Pewaukee, close enough to spot the same kind of weather damage on the same kinds of homes our neighbors have, from lakefront exposure in Oconomowoc (53066) to the older neighborhoods of Delafield (53018) and Hartland (53029)
You shouldn’t have to chase down a separate carpenter, coordinate two crews, and hope they work well together. We’ve been doing the carpentry and the paint as one job since 2001, and there’s a real peace of mind that comes with it.
Set up a free estimate whenever it’s convenient. We’ll come out, take a look, and you’ll walk away with a clear picture of what your home needs and what it’ll take to handle it.
We can, though most of our carpentry comes through as part of a painting or staining project. If you’ve got a repair you want handled on its own, reach out and we’ll talk through it.
Soft spots when you press on the wood, dark staining, paint that’s bubbling or peeling in one specific area, or a faint musty smell on a warm day are all good signs to have someone take a closer look. We’ll check during a free estimate, no obligation either way.
That’s the goal every time. We match profiles, blend new wood into old, and prep the repair so the paint or stain finish reads as one continuous surface.
Yes. Knockdown, orange peel, smooth, skip trowel, and the older plaster textures common in Lake Country’s vintage homes. Once it’s painted, the patch should be invisible. If you can find it, we didn’t do our job.
Most of the time, targeted repair is the right call, both for your wallet and for the home. Full residing makes sense in specific situations, and we’ll tell you honestly which camp your project falls into.
